Brandon's Success Story

This online entrepreneur success story is about Brandon, who has been with Wealthy Affiliate since 2016. Brandon recently posted his 1099, showing proof of his Amazon affiliate marketing program success!

Brandon's prior year of earnings from Amazon totaled more than $3,700, directly deposited into his checking account. Another interesting fact is that Amazon is not even his most significant source of blogging income.

The most exciting part of his story is that this is mostly passive income. Brandon wrote this post about leadership, and he referred to one of his favorite John Maxwell books. Long after he had written this post, people keep finding it in the search engine results and click through, making a purchase many years after creating the post.

Is Blogging Dead?

In Brandon's opinion, not even close.

Brandon cites several statistics in his Wealthy Affiliate post about 77% of internet users read blogs, and that user visits around ten blog posts per day.

He is a firm believer that the power of blogging can result in two things:

1 - Make a difference, and 2 - Earn some money.

Brandon's most rewarding experience from blogging is the many comments and emails he receives, thanking him for the information he provided. Many people comment that it came at just the right time.

Amazon commissions are only one revenue stream from Brandon's blogs. He also promotes the Wealthy Affiliate program, which earns him more.

Many people think that you can only earn nickels and dimes from owning a blog. That's not true. Brandon believes that owning a blog is like owning a chunk of income-producing real-estate.

Brandon's Experience With Online Marketing

Brandon's time spent on his blogs and websites is not his full-time job.

Pastor and Church Planter.

He is a pastor and church planter. He and his wife, along with another family, started a new church about five years ago and now has about 450 regular attenders.

Before this, he served at Saddleback Church, which is one of the most influential and most significant churches in America.

Brandon is also a leadership coach. He works with about a dozen different leaders each month, helping them to work through obstacles in their organization's growth. He has also worked with Rick Warren's Pastor's Toolbox.

Brandon also wrote a book, Rewired, on how to leverage social media with getting the message out. He even helps organizations design their websites and their social media presence.

Brandon is also an entrepreneur. This character trait is the reason he is a member of Wealthy Affiliate. He loves learning from creative people who want to change the world.

He continues to be fascinated by the entire concept of leadership and social influence.

He credits Wealthy Affiliate for teaching him about SEO, and proper niche site building so that he could earn extra revenue from his passions.

Brandon enjoys spending time with his blogs and earning extra income. But his most excellent source of joy, and priority, are his faith and his family.

Interestingly enough, his Wealth Affiliate money goals are both zero. He comments that Money is never a path to happiness. It's merely a tool for influence.
